Golden Scale fish farm
Omagye Ebenya
I am an aquaculture practitioner and farm manager specializing in the production of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) through sustainable and efficient hatchery and grow-out systems. My farm focuses on high-quality fingerlings and table-size fish, ensuring healthy stock through proper broodstock management, water quality monitoring, and best hatchery practices. With a background in Fisheries and ongoing postgraduate research in aquaculture, I integrate scientific knowledge with practical farming to improve hatchability, fry survival, and overall productivity. My current work focuses on optimizing water temperature conditions to enhance fry performance in controlled hatchery environments. What makes my farm unique is the combination of research-driven production, consistency in supply, and commitment to sustainable practices. I aim to support other fish farmers by providing reliable fingerlings and sharing knowledge that improves aquaculture outcomes. I am also passionate about scaling operations, adopting innovative technologies, and connecting with broader markets to contribute to food security and economic growth in Nigeria and beyond.
